Friday Funnies: Another offering by the “Catholic” church

This has got to be one of the funniest things I have ever seen.  I was tearing up, I was laughing so hard.  Keep an eye on the feet of the first three guys on the left.  Very clever.

So, without further ado, and before we get too far removed from the Christmas season, I give you The Silent Monks.  Grab a tissue.

  1. Hope things are not too dark for you! The Bible says that a merry heart does good like medicine (Proverbs 17:22). There is good science to back this up (laughter releases endorphins, which not only promote healing but also aid in a sense of general wellbeing), which should not come as a surprise, understanding that the Author of scripture is also the Creator of our bodies!

  2. Well in some sense they are dark – depression and suicidial thoughts. but that is the reason for reading your blog frequently.

  3. walt–This is not what I would call dark in “some sense”. You need someone to talk to. If you email me and tell me where you are, I have some great networking and can find someone nearby you. Please let me know. I will pass this along to my pastor as well. You need some immediate encouragement. These types of thoughts are nothing to trifle with. The Bible tells us that our hearts are deceitful and desperately wicked (Jeremiah 17:9), and we dare not trust our own mental ruminations.

Praying for you this morning, ~Diane
