I am a non-conformist. I have followed very few fashion trends through the years, and when I did, it was long after it became fashionable and only when I was good and ready. We had no microwave or even a clothes dryer in our house when I was a kid…by choice. Only after I’d left for college did my family begin to enjoy these conveniences. So, perhaps it’s genetic.
So, I’ve determined not to be swept away by Twitter fever. Not until next year, anyway. In the meantime, if I have a Twitteresque thought that rises above delineating what I’m having for breakfast, or my newest discovery for stain removal, I’ll throw it on my stable old blog with this post title. Just call me an “old dog.” Second thought, you’d better be my friend to use that term. 😉
Anway, here’s my Twitteresque thought (subsequent ones will be w/o commentary) (and parentheticals) from today’s reading (most of these thoughts will likely be quotations…I, like C.J. Mahaney, am merely a “walking quote”:
Blessed is any weight, however overwhelming, which God has been so good as to fasten with His own hand upon our shoulders. F. W. Faber
